Scoliosis coaching sessions are meant to help you find the best alignment for your curvy spine. We will work on corrective exercise, passive and active, in order to help you create length, de-rotation, and space in your spine. Learn how to breathe to create space in your concavities, to brace your core to hold your scoli-corrections, to do different exercises for your curve(s), and how to perform active and passive corrections. These sessions are a safe space for you to feel frustrated, insecure, and confused due to your diagnosis ... however, the hope is that you leave your sessions feeling hopeful, confident, and guided. With scoliosis coaching, the focus can solely be on corrective exercise, OR you can also work on hypertrophy training with scoliosis. Whether you want to just find alignment with gentle exercise, or maybe you want to work on building some muscle and lift weights safely for your spine ... these sessions are for you. These sessions are led by Annalise, who also has scoliosis, and strives to help you NOT go through things that she has gone through with her body over the years. From dealing with chronic pain due to neglecting her curve and doing things over time that contributed to her curve's progression, she has decided to receive education through Scolio-Pilates to qualify her to begin working with fellow scolis, and plans to further her education with them in the near future.
